The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources will open campsites at 16 additional state parks to accommodate anglers looking to camp overnight in preparation for the first day of trout season on April 3.

In total, 34 state parks will have camping available on April 2, DCNR Secretary Cindy Adams Dunn announced Tuesday.

Regionally, campgrounds at Lackawanna State Park, Frances Slocum State Park and Promised Land State Park will be open.
