Cole Swindell
Grammy-nominated country singer Cole Swindell will bring his Down to the Bar Tour to Northeast Pennsylvania this weekend.
Swindell is known for the songs “Never Say Never,” “Single Saturday Night” and “Break Up in the End,” and he has almost 4.5 billion global career streams.
The show will take place Saturday, April 2, at 7:30 p.m. at F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts, 71 Public Square, Wilkes-Barre. Doors open at 6.

Best of Times: A Tribute to STYX
The Theater at North will present Best of Times: A Tribute to STYX on Saturday, April 2, at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the show is appropriate for all ages.
The tribute band consists of Jeff Moris on keyboards and vocals; George McGrew, guitars, mandolin, and vocals; Paul Soos, bass and vocals; Stretch Armstong, guitar; and Rick Arendale, drums.
Tickets cost $20 to $30 and are available at thetheateratnorth.com and at the box office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursdays from 3 to 6 p.m. and the day of the show starting at 5 p.m. Tickets are non-refundable.

Neil Thompson book talk
Neil Thompson, a graduate of the University of Scranton, will return to campus to discuss his new book, “The First Kennedys: The Humble Roots of An American Dynasty.”
The talk will take place Wednesday, March 30, at 5 p.m. in the Moskovitz Theater on the fourth floor of the DeNaples Center, 900 Mulberry St. Thompson will sign copies of his book from 4:30 to 5 p.m. and after the talk.
Released in February, Thompson’s book focuses on the Kennedy family escaping the potato famine of Ireland and coming to America in the 1800s.
Thompson is a journalist who has written for the New York Times, Washington Post, Esquire, Vanity Fair and others.

Katie Hannigan
A comedian who has appeared on ”The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” visits Mohegan Sun Pocono, 1280 Route 315, Plains Twp., this weekend.
Katie Hannigan will perform in the Wise Crackers comedy club on Friday, April 1, and Saturday, April 2, at 9 p.m. Hannigan regularly performs in the New York area and has appeared on Comedy Central, MTV, and HBO Max and more. She also co-hosts ”Lady Journey,” a comedic lifestyle podcast, and recently released her debut comedy album, “Feeling of Emptiness.”
Mara Wiles will be the featured act for the show, which Scott Bruce will host.

Times-Tribune Children’s Series: ‘My Mouth Is a Volcano’
Grab the kids and head to Scranton Cultural Center at The Masonic Temple, 420 N. Washington Ave., for the Times-Tribune Children’s Series.
The show ”My Mouth Is a Volcano” starts at 11 a.m. in Shopland Hall on the center’s fourth floor. The Wiggles & Giggles Craft Workshop will precede the show at 10 a.m.
“My Mouth Is a Volcano” is based on Julia Cook’s award-winning book of the same name, which focuses on how to respect others through listening and by not interrupting.
Tickets cost $7.50 for the show only and $11.50 for the show and craft workshop. Show tickets are for general admission.
