Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit will perform Wednesday, Jan. 26, at F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts, 71 Public Square, Wilkes-Barre.

Doors open at 6 p.m., and the show starts at 7:30. Adia Victoria also will perform.

Isbell’s most recent album, “Georgia Blue,” consists of 13 cover songs tied to the state of Georgia. He has won multiple Grammy awards and had a song featured in the 2019 film, “A Star Is Born,” which featured Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper.

Proof of vaccination status and masks will be required.

‘Currents: Artworks by Laura Kern’ closing reception

Meet Northeast Pennsylvania multi-media artist Laura Kern on Thursday, Jan. 27, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Abington Community Library, 1200 W. Grove St., Clarks Summit.

During the closing reception for her exhibit, “Currents: Artworks by Laura Kern,” she will answer questions and talk about her process as an artist and the themes of her work.

100th Season Celebration Concert

Little Theatre of Wilkes-Barre will mark its milestone year with the 100 Season Celebration Concert on Friday, Jan. 28, and Saturday, Jan. 29, at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 30, at 3 p.m. at 537 N. Main St., Wilkes-Barre.

People who have participated in the troupe’s previous seasons will perform with an accompanying orchestra.
