Comcast opened a new Xfinity store Wednesday at Richland 315 in Plains Twp.
Xfinity is Comcast’s brand for residential internet, TV, home security and mobile products. Customers visiting the store can see demonstrations of these products, pay bills, return equipment and purchase mobile accessories and smart devices including smartphones, thermostats and cameras.
Xfinity Mobile is available to Xfinity internet customers and the store provides large displays of the latest smartphones for customers shopping for a new device.
It marks the second Xfinity store in Northeast Pennsylvania. Comcast opened its Dickson City Xfinity store at 1128 Commerce Blvd. in 2015.
“Our newest Xfinity Store in Plains Twp. is an important part of our ongoing effort to improve the customer experience,” said Keystone Region Senior Vice President Toni Murphy.
Murphy said the new expansive and “thoughtfully-designed” store provides space for customers to learn more about the products.
“Our employees can demonstrate the unmatched video experiences on our X1 platform, how Xfinity xFi uses the fastest internet speeds and AI-powered security to transform the home Wi-Fi experience, a growing network of Xfinity Home smart home devices and services and the advantages inherent in Xfinity Mobile,” Murphy said.
In all, there are 24 Xfinity stores throughout Pennsylvania. Xfinity stores range in size up to 4,000 square feet and are located in shopping destinations already familiar to local customers.
In addition to receiving product demonstrations, customers can ask experts about their current services or devices, learn how Xfinity apps make it easy to manage their account, sign up for all Xfinity services, pay bills at kiosks, return or acquire equipment and purchase accessories for mobile devices like cases, screen protectors and power supplies as well as smart accessories for the home.
Customers can also go online to www.xfinity.com/support, click “Visit an Xfinity Store” and make an appointment.
