WVIA-TV will rebroadcast its original documentary film, “Ubaldo,” several times later this month.

The telecasts will happen May 23 at noon and 9 p.m. May 24 at 2 p.m.

The one-hour, 2009 documentary celebrates the 800-year-old St. Ubaldo festival that usually happens every May in Jessup and in Gubbio, Italy. Organizers canceled the festival this year because of the coronavirus pandemic.

WVIA will show the documentary to help “the people of Northeast Pennsylvania celebrate the annual tradition safely in their homes as they anticipate the event’s return in 2021,” VIA Public Media Senior Vice President Chris Norton said in a statement.
