The state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources closed the beach at Gouldsboro State Park to swimming Wednesday, noting it will remain closed until acceptable water sample test results are received.
A press release announcing the closure described it as a precaution. All other recreational activities at the state park are open to the public. Swimming is available at nearby Tobyhanna State Park, according to the release.
