The lineup of celebrities who will compete for the Mirrorball Trophy on the upcoming season of ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” was announced this morning by DWTS host Tom Bergeron, and includes a Scranton favorite.
Among the season 28 cast, viewers will find Kate Flannery, 55, a Pennsylvania native who portrayed Meredith Palmer on the Scranton-set sitcom “The Office” from 2005 to 2013. Flannery’s professional dance partner has not yet been revealed.
Her competitors will include “Queer Eye” culture expert and former “Real World: Philadelphia” resident Karamo Brown; Mary Wilson, who is a founding member of The Supremes; “Dawson’s Creek” star James Van Der Beek; former supermodel Christie Brinkley; child star Kel Mitchell, of “Kenan & Kel” and “All That”; Ally Brooke, a singer from the girl group Fifth Harmony; former NBA player Lamar Odom; former NFL player Ray Lewis; country singer and former “American Idol” contestant Lauren Alaina; season 15 “Bachelorette” Hannah Brown; and former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer.
“Dancing With the Stars” returns to ABC on Monday, Sept. 16, at 8 p.m.
