Italian tradition and ghosts.

Both will be on display Thursday night when the St. Ubaldo Society hosts a night at the Circle Drive-In on Business Route 6. The free, socially distant event will feature WVIA’s Ubaldo documentary followed by the 1984 edition of Ghostbusters. Doors will open at 6 p.m., with the documentary playing at 8 and Ghostbusters at 9:30.

While attendees learn about St. Ubaldo Day, which is only celebrated in Jessup and Gubbio, Italy, they can snack on food from borough restaurants. Cafe Colarusso, JAK’s Pub and Eatery and Mariano’s Cucina and Provisions will all have food for sale, in addition to the drive-in’s regular food and refreshments, said society secretary Victoria Hanson.

They will also be announcing next year’s leaders for St. Ubaldo Day, holding raffles, and they will have handouts and face painting for kids, Hanson said.
