If you’re looking for even more cheer this holiday, look no further than The Pocono Concert Chorale. Due to the pandemic, the Chorale’s Winter 2020 Holiday Concert concert has made its way online.
“A major impact in all our lives during this worldwide pandemic has been the almost complete absence of live performing arts, which is so vital to our well-being as individuals and as a society.” The Chorale posted on its website, poconoconcertchorale.org.
“Both performers and audiences eagerly await the time when normal artistic activities can resume.
“Such performances require a great deal of additional effort and technological experience on everyone’s part, particularly in assembling and synchronizing all the recorded voices into one coherent whole.” The Chorale said.
Members of the Chorale spent time practicing and record parts for the virtually holiday concert, which is available to stream online now at poconoconcertchorale.org/winter-2020-virtual-concert. According to a release, the concert is being offered to the community to help keep the arts alive in Monroe County during the pandemic.
Founded by James Maroney in 2016, Pocono Concert Chorale is a non-profit performing arts organization whose purpose is to provide area singers the opportunity to perform great choral music for the Poconos community.
Pocono Concert Chorale is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that receives funding support from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
