DICKSON CITY — Discount retailer Ocean State Job says it will give away enough fabric, as polyester cloth napkins and tablecloths, for do-it-yourself mask-makers to produce an estimated 2 million masks.
State and federal officials now recommend that everyone should wear a mask in public to slow the spread of COVID-19.
Stay-at-home orders remain in effect, and travel should only happen for life-sustaining reasons.
Each store location, including those in Dickson City and Wilkes-Barre, have displays where customers can pick up fabric, limited to five units of fabric per customer.
