The William “Babe” Conroy Scholarship Fund will hold its third annual Bundookie (Bunduki) Challenge fundraiser on Saturday, Jan. 25, at the Glover’s Hill Athletic Club, 1201 W. Penn St., Shenandoah.

A limit of 20 contestants will provide 36 of their finest bundookies — ethnic Lithuanian meatballs — with a $10 entrance fee. Drop-off will be between 4 and 5 p.m. the day of the event, with judging to begin at 6 p.m. Doors open at 5 p.m. for the public.

The bundookies will be judged on taste, texture and appearance. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third places. The deadline to enter is Wednesday, Jan. 23. The public is welcome to enter as a few spots remain open.

The admission cost is $20, which includes all you can eat with a variety of food, beverages and music from 9 p.m. to midnight by J.T. Thomas. A raffle table will be available with several items. Proceeds will benefit the scholarship fund that will be awarded to a four-year baseball player who is continuing education at a college or technical institute.
