The Hazle Twp. Community Park Summer Concert Series will present the third show in its 2021 season Sunday, featuring local band Those Acoustic Guys from 2 to 4 p.m. in the bandshell.

Those Acoustic Guys is a duo made up of vocalist Gino Cannon and guitarist Chris Danishefsky. Cannon’s experience includes recording all lead vocals on the album “Force This” by the Sterling Cooke Force (Ransom Records), being featured on WVIA’s Home Grown Music as lead vocalist for the band Montclair, having the opportunity to perform as the opening act for the rock group Cinderella and hosting his own on-air radio program at WAZL Hazleton.

Danishefsky has six years of study under the tutelage of respected guitarist Teddy Young of Teddy Young and the Aces, is a recent graduate of Luzerne County Community College’s audio recording program, opened a professional recording studio in Nanticoke and is currently being featured as lead guitarist for the worship band at Mountaintop Family Church.

Together, the duo plays classic rock covers as well as some timeless standards.

Some of the artists they’ll be playing include Jim Croce, The Beatles, James Taylor, America, Neil Young, Janis Joplin, Frank Sinatra and Michael Buble. They perform locally in music venues as well as for weddings and special occasions. Those who would like more information about the duo can hear audio samples of their studio performances on YouTube, Spotify, iTunes/Apple Music, Amazon Music and Google Play or visit their Facebook page.

The show is free and the public is invited. There are benches and bleachers, but those attending may want to bring a lawn chair. Refreshments will be available for purchase. In case of rain, the show will be rescheduled to Sunday.
