Hospice of the Sacred Heart will hold “An Evening with Mitch Albom” on Thursday, Nov. 12, at 7 p.m. at the Theater at North, 1539 N. Main Ave., Scranton. A book sale and signing will follow Albom’s talk.
“We invited Mitch to speak to a large group of Hospice of the Sacred Heart employees, volunteers and community members in 2005,” Hospice of the Sacred Heart CEO Diane Baldi said in a statement. “We’re delighted to bring him back this year and look forward to his fresh and inspiring presentation.”
Albom, a columnist for The Detroit Free Press and a panelist on The Sports Reporters podcast who was he was inducted into the Sportswriters Hall of Famein 2013, is the author of “Tuesdays with Morrie” and several other best-selling books. He also has founded 10 charities that handle such projects as repairing homeless shelters, helping impoverished orphans and kids in Haiti, and providing health care/
Tickets for the talk cost $55 and are available at HospiceSacredHeart.org and at the Theater at North box office, which is open Mondays and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Thursdays from 3 to 6 p.m.
