Wayne County Arts Alliance has a spooky fundraiser planned for next month.
The organization will hold a two-week online auction of 13 “art skeletons” created by several local artists. The auction runs from Thursday, Oct. 1, through Thursday, Oct. 15,” at staggered times between 8:30 and 9 p.m.” at biddingowl.com/Auction/index.cfm?auctionID=22938, WCAA explained in an announcement.
Artists Jerry DeCrotie, Jeff George, Pauline Glykokokalos, Sean Harrington, Heather Hogan-Spencer, David Justice, Katalin Justice, Liz Kedrick, Linda Krause, Brandi Merolla, Paul Plumadore, Debby Pollak and Jess Repa contributed decorated skeletons to the auction. WCAA displayed them this month at 13 Honesdale businesses before moving them to its Main Street Gallery in the upstairs of Missing Pieces, 959 Main St., Honesdale, for inclusion in the “Haunted Mezzanine” exhibit. That exhibit is open Thursdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. starting Oct. 1.
Those who can’t make it to the exhibit can check out photos of the skeletons at WCAA’s website.
